Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Brnixt (“we”, “our”, or “the app”) is a mobile application for logging mechanical keyboard setups, keycap pairings, typing sessions, and related notes. This policy explains what information the app may access and how it is used.
2. Information you provide in the app
When you use Brnixt, you may store the following data locally on your device:
- Keyboard build details (name, layout, switch type, brand, plate, foam, lube, mod notes)
- Keycap set details (profile, material, colors, notes)
- Typing session logs (feel/noise scores, behavior tags, text notes, scene and environment notes)
- Photos you import or capture for boards and keycaps
- Voice notes you record for typing sessions
- Wishlist items, reminders settings, and in-app coin balance
This content is saved in the app’s local storage on your iPhone or iPad unless you explicitly export or share it (for example, a setup snapshot image, PDF export, or saving a layout sheet to Photos).
3. Device permissions
Brnixt requests access only when a feature needs it:
- Photos & Camera — to import or photograph boards and keycaps for your Rack.
- Photo Library (Save) — to save HD layout exports you confirm on a board page.
- Microphone — only while you record a voice note on a typing session.
- Notifications — for optional local typing reminders you enable under Me → Typing Reminders.
- App Tracking Transparency — we may ask for permission to use your device advertising identifier to improve the app experience. You can decline and continue using all features.
You can revoke permissions anytime in iOS Settings.
4. Purchases
Brnixt offers optional in-app purchases (Clack Coins) processed by Apple. We do not receive your payment card details. Purchase history and receipts are managed by Apple under their privacy policy.
5. What we do not collect
- We do not require you to create an account.
- We do not upload your boards, sessions, photos, or voice notes to Brnixt-operated servers by default.
- We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention & deletion
Your data remains on your device until you delete it in the app or remove the app. You can clear all app data from Me → Clear All Data. Deleting the app removes locally stored content from your device.
7. Children’s privacy
Brnixt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us and we will assist with removal on the device.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
